200 meal bags per week. Each meal bag typically contains one or two Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches, fruit, an energy bar, snack packet and a juice packet or water bottle. We pack 25 meal bags in a container and give 1 or more containers to each outreach organization for that day’s distribution.
Donated 101 school backpacks filled with much needed supplies. Children and Teens around TriValley and Bay area are better prepared for the school year.
During the Feed the Hungry month, we knew we wanted to address local food insecurity by partnering with Open Heart Kitchen, Shepard’s Gate, and TriValley Haven. With the gracious support of our donors and volunteers, able to donate 300 pounds of canned food and fresh produce to the shelters.
The holidays are always an exciting time of year, but for families in need, it can feel like an added stress. That’s why we decided to run a stocking drive to provide kids and adults some much needed cozy necessities and smaller gift items. After coming together to assemble the stockings, we put together 100 kid stockings and 32 adult stockings to donate to the TriValley Haven. We are so grateful for this successful holiday drive!
Although drives are one of our organizations’ primary ways of supporting local charities, we also like to give back in person. A group of dedicated volunteers spent their afternoon helping to spruce up an abused women’s shelter. The shelter was very appreciative of our work and we’re glad to have solidified a great partnership with an important service within our community. <need description and picture etc.>
